We compare published dimensions and explain our planning assumptions. Our guides are researched, and our room estimates are adjustable.

How we put this togetherBEFORE YOU BEGIN
A few practical answers.
How much counter space does a coffee station need?
Add machine width, optional grinder width, a gap and a preparation zone. Depth and height must also fit. Our 18-, 24- and 30-inch examples show the calculations, including a tight layout that needs more room.
Do I need an espresso machine?
No. Plan around the drink you make most often. A filter brewer and appropriate grinder may suit your routine; remember any kettle and the assembled cup or server. Read the filter-station guide.
Have you tested the equipment?
These are source-based planning references. We show manufacturer specifications and our own calculations, but have not tested the equipment in person. Our method explains the limits.
